Bring Back the Fun
While the Ragman specializes in Pool Tables, we also have a technician who can work on Pinballs, Arcade Games, Jukeboxes, and more. We overhaul our own equipment regularly, and we would be happy to do the same for yours. If something is giving you guff, give us a call and bring it to our shop, and we’ll give it the TLC it deserves.
The Ragman Billiard Ltd. is your source for moving billiard tables in Kamloops and the surrounding area. Expertly dismantles, moves, and reassembles slate billiard tables in all sizes. We can also provide a crate for the slate if you are shipping the table a great distance.
Please note that most manufacturers provide a lifetime warranty for both the frame and the slate, provided the table is serviced and moved by a Professional Billiard Technician.
New Life to an Old Table
New Cloth, New Rubbers, and just like that, your old table will play like new. We carry about 30 colours of cloth at any time, and we stock rubber for both pool and snooker rails. For an up-to-date colour chart and to get a close-up of any colour, visit Championship Billiards.
We know that you want your billiard table maintained as well as it can be. We do a simple re-leveling tune-up on billiard tables. Send us the measurements and we’ll provide you with a quote.
We can also provide you with an in-home fabric replacement service. Invitational fabric is a blend of 84% wool and 16% nylon whereas tour edition is 70% wool and 30% nylon, offering faster play and a longer life. Choose from a variety of colors! Please note that not all colors are in stock, and to allow 1-2 weeks for custom ordered colors.
Here are some tips to keep your billiard table well-maintained:
- Fabric can easily last 10+ years depending on usage. Use an open airbrush attachment on your vacuum or a billiard brush to keep it dust free.
- Use the dust cover: dust breaks down the fabric over time.
- Stains don’t come out! Keep drinks, water, and other liquids away from the table.
We can also replace worn out cushions. There are many things to consider when replacing and maintaining billiard table cushions. Usually, when tables are not used enough, the rubber will begin to harden.
Bear in mind that there are two styles of rubber. Here are some useful things to remember:
- V rubber
“V” shaped, known as pool rubber, found on most pool tables
- L rubber
“L” shaped, known as snooker rubber, usually found on full-size 5’X10’ and 6’X12’ tables
- V rubber has a pocket opening of 5” and uses balls that are 2¼” in diameter and pool cue tips from 12-14 mm
- L rubber has a pocket opening of 3.5” and uses balls that are 2 1/16“ in diameter and snooker tips from 9-11 mm
